"Politico" published a ranking of the 28 most influential people in Europe.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy topped the list, while his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin was named "loser of the year."

One of the latest articles on the portal says: "Just look at how European leaders run to Kyiv to take a picture with the solemn 44-year-old man, dressed in his iconic olive green T-shirt. Standing next to him, politicians strive to be seen. Zelensky has convinced the rest of Europe that its future lies with Ukraine - something that few believed until the Russian invasion in February."

There is also a place for Vladimir Putin, but only in the role of "loser of the year". His dream of a "great Russia" is unlikely to come true, the publication writes.
