Germany will transfer to Ukraine 18 RCH-155 self-propelled howitzers, the world's first howitzers that can fire while moving.

Oleksandr Kovalenko, a military-political columnist of the "Information Resistance" group, spoke about the advantages of weapons.

The "highlight" of the RCH 155 is that it is the first self-propelled gun in the world that can fire on the move.

Moreover, the movement of the base does not affect the accuracy of the artillery.

This allows this self-propelled gun to be elusive during counter-battery combat by the enemy, the expert said.

He added that the self-propelled guns have a fully automated charging system, the possibility of remote fire control, as well as simultaneous damage to one object with four shells in a row.

Kovalenko even called these advantages "not a highlight, but a cymes".

According to him, the RCH 155 self-propelled gun is in many ways very similar to the Panzerhaubitze 2000 that

Lithuania

provided to Ukraine along with ammunition.

"For example, they have the same L52 barrels, a similar firing range - 40 km with conventional shells and up to 54 km when using Vulcano and m982 Excalibur. It can use Smart shells - shot and forgot," Kovalenko added.
