During the last month, the Armed Forces of Ukraine kept 7 Ukrainian-made drones in service.

Applications for another two dozen unmanned aerial vehicles have been submitted.

This was announced by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov.

"There is a lot of information in the public space about the impressive results of the use of NATO-type heavy weapons by our soldiers. This is a visible part of the changes that took place in the defense sector during the year. Along with this, there is another dimension where systematic work is underway to improve the capabilities of the Armed Forces. It is less visible, but no less important. It is about the digital transformation of our army, as well as changing the rules in the field of attracting innovations to the needs of defense," explained Reznikov.

Previously, he said, the Ukrainian army used 1-2 UAV models per year.

Now, over the past 30 days, 7 samples of Ukrainian-made UAVs have been admitted to service in the Armed Forces.

"To simplify interaction with manufacturers, a site has been created where every developer who has a ready-made product can submit an application to the Ministry of Defense for admission to operation of their product. Official admission to operation means that the Ministry of Defense can purchase products, and the Armed Forces can put them into service. Previously, this procedure took 1.5-2 years. Today it is very fast. The main thing is that the product has the characteristics required for the military.

Currently, 19 more applications are being considered for admission to the operation of Ukrainian-made UAVs.

"Considering that today the Air Defense Forces are purchased by the Ministry of Defense with budget funds, the United24 fund and various volunteer organizations, in fact, every developer who has a real product can find resources. Old-timers of the Ukrainian military industry say that this is a revolution, something that they could not imagine".

- wrote the minister.

We will remind that the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov told whether another wave of mobilization is needed in Ukraine.

According to the minister, the number of personnel in the Armed Forces is sufficient, so an additional wave of mobilization is currently not planned.
