Gujarat Assembly Election Results: The eyes of the country rested on the election results of PM Narendra Modi's home state Gujarat.

New Delhi :

Gujarat Election Results: The counting of votes for the assembly elections held in Gujarat in two phases on December 1 and 5 will be held today.

The ruling BJP in the state is hoping for victory for the seventh time in a row.

The exit poll estimates that came after the last phase of voting are also in favor of the BJP.

The state is witnessing a triangular contest between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party.

The counting of votes will start at 8 am and the results are likely to be out by noon.

Forecasts have predicted a landslide victory for the BJP in Gujarat.

If this turns out to be true, then the BJP will create a record by retaining power in the state for the seventh time in a row.

So far, this kind of record is recorded only in the account of the Left Front in West Bengal.

This time in Gujarat, the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party are the challengers in front of the BJP.

Top Congress leaders are taking out Bharat Jodo Yatra to revive the party which is losing its base.

Due to this campaign, the election campaign of Congress in Gujarat paled in comparison to BJP and Aam Aadmi Party.

Despite this, the Congress is confident that it has raised issues like price rise, unemployment and corruption and voters have supported it on these issues.

The Aam Aadmi Party, which entered the election field with great ambition in Gujarat, launched an aggressive campaign.

Party convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has made populist promises citing examples of Delhi and Punjab.

The Gujarat elections are an opportunity for the Aam Aadmi Party to establish itself as a national party and challenge the BJP at the national level as well.
