"Unfortunately, the war in Ukraine does not seem to end soon.

But the sooner peace comes, the better."

APA's Istanbul correspondent reports that Finnish Defense Minister Antti Kaikkonen announced this during a joint press conference with his Turkish counterpart Hulusi Akar in Ankara.

He noted that his country understands Turkey's concerns about security issues:

"Turkey can be sure that Finland is determined in the fight against terrorism.

There is no doubt about it."

Kaikkonen also added that Finland is not interested in deploying nuclear weapons on its territory if it becomes a member of NATO, and NATO has no such intention.
