Estonia revoked the broadcasting license of the Russian
TV channel "Dozhd".
The Baltic country followed Lithuania and Latvia in doing so.
The decision was made by the country's regulators, writes Postimees.
It is noted that the company Elisa received a message from the Department of Consumer Rights Protection and Technical Supervision of Estonia about stopping the broadcasting of "Rain".
In the country, "Rain" was broadcast by Telia, Elisa and Home 3. However, two of these TV operators included the channel in an extended package of channels.
"Rain" is the channel of choice among Elisa's television packages, so the termination of this TV channel will affect a small part of the client base," said Elisa's media relations manager Taavi Teder.
Scandal with the TV channel "Rain"
The opposition TV channel "Rain"
announced help in equipping the mobilized occupiers
who are being sent to kill Ukrainians.
Also, host Oleksii Korostelov called on the occupiers to send messages to the TV channel's mailbox.
Later, the host
Korostelev was fired.
The editor-in-chief made the decision.
Tikhon Dzyadko's wife called this decision "difficult".
Already on December 6, the National Council for Electronic Media of Latvia decided to
cancel the license
of the "Rain" channel.
Subsequently, such a decision was reached in Lithuania.
