Gujarat Assembly Elections Results: According to the trends of the election results of Gujarat, the ruling BJP is moving towards a big victory.

The party has so far made a lead in more than 150 seats in the state.

Apart from the main opposition Congress, Arvind Kejriwal's AAP has lagged far behind his wave.

For the Congress party, the trends in Gujarat so far have plunged them into deep despair.

The party is leading in 19 seats in the state so far.

Important information related to the case:

  • In the 2002 assembly elections, the Congress is currently leading in just 19 seats in Gujarat.

    This is the worst performance of the party so far in the state. 

  • The BJP has been in power in Gujarat for more than two decades.

    The party has not lost an assembly election here since 1995.

  • In the 1995 Gujarat elections, the BJP formed the government by winning 121 seats, in this election the Congress got 45 seats. 

  • In 1998, there was a need for assembly elections again in Gujarat when Congress got 53 seats while BJP got success in forming the government again by securing 117 seats. 

  • In the 2002 elections, the Congress got 51 seats in Gujarat while the BJP managed to get 127 seats. 

  • In the 2007 assembly elections, the Congress got 61 seats in Gujarat while the BJP managed to get 117 seats.

  • In the 2012 assembly elections, the Congress got 61 seats in Gujarat while the BJP managed to get 115 seats.

  • In the 2017 assembly elections, the Congress had given a tough fight to the BJP in Gujarat.

    Due to the Patidar movement in Gujarat, BJP had to suffer a lot in this election.

    BJP had come below 100 seats in this election.

    Congress got 77 seats in this election while BJP was successful in getting 99 seats.

  • After the year 2017, there has been a lot of change in the politics of Gujarat and Hardik Patel, the leader of the Patidar movement, has now joined the BJP and is contesting elections on the party's ticket. 

  • BJP has moved from strong to form the government in 2022 elections.

    On the other hand, the Congress party is facing its worst phase in the state.

    Even after the advent of Aam Aadmi Party, the percentage of its votes has come down.
