"Formula-1" announced the Sprint races of the new season.

The number of Sprint races held last year has doubled to six in the 2023 season.

Thus, the first Sprint race of the calendar will take place in Baku within the framework of Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

Sprint races are held on tracks where overtaking and high-speed attacks are favored and are remembered for their special drama and attract a wide audience of fans.

It is no coincidence that the Baku race, which is considered one of the fastest city races, is also on this list.

Formula 1 Group Chairman and President Stefano Domenicali shared his thoughts on the next Sprint races: "We have received very positive feedback from the fans during the last two years of the F1 Sprint race.

We are looking forward to doing 6 Sprint races next season.

These races make the three-day race weekend more competitive and more exciting for motorsports fans.

I also believe that the Sprint format will add value to our key partners - the Formula 1 teams, broadcasters and host countries."

The calendar of Sprint races to be held in the 2023 season is as follows:

Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix (April 28-30)

Formula 1 Austrian Grand Prix (June 30-July 2)

Formula 1 Belgian Grand Prix (July 28-30)

Formula 1 Qatar Grand Prix (October 6-8)

Formula 1 US Grand Prix (October 20-22)
