In the old Betwa area of ​​Kotwali area of ​​the district, the body of a young man was found lying on the road on Wednesday morning in a plastic sack.

Police have identified two accused with the help of CCTV footage and arrested them.

Police said on Wednesday that the incident took place in the old Betwa Ghat in Sadar Kotwali area.

He told that on Wednesday morning people saw a sack lying in suspicious condition on the road leading to Old Betwa Ghat and informed the Sadar Kotwali police.

When the police opened the sack, there was a dead body packed in polythene inside it.

Sadar Kotwal Durvijay Singh said that the dead body found in a sack in Kotwali Sadar Hamirpur area has been identified as Baua alias Akhilesh Singh (40).

He said that with the help of CCTV camera footage, the accused who threw the body were identified as Sunil Kumar Tiwari and Jamuna Prasad Savita.

He told that both have been arrested.

He told that after killing Akhilesh Singh, the accused threw his dead body in a gunny bag.

Singh told about the incident that on Tuesday night, both Akhilesh and Sunil drank heavily and later there was a fight between the two over giving and receiving of money and in a state of intoxication, Sunil killed Akhilesh.

He told that after the murder, Sunil was going to throw Akhilesh's body in a plastic sack and throw it in the Betwa river while dragging him behind in a motorcycle.

He told that at 4 am on Wednesday, the rope suddenly broke and the sack fell on the road.

Since Sunil was drunk, he got scared after breaking the sack and left it there and ran away to his house.

In the morning when people saw the blood-soaked sack lying on the road.

So he informed the police.

When the police saw the footage of the CCTV camera installed on the roadside, a gunny bag was seen in it.

They identified Sunil from the motorcycle number in the footage and arrested him and his accomplice.

Police said that legal action is being taken after registering a case by Kotwali Sadar Hamirpur police, the body has been sent for postmortem.
