Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of the National Security Council, explained the fallacy of the thesis "to prevent the escalation of the conflict with Russia", which is popular in the West.
He wrote about it on Facebook.
"Prevent escalation of the conflict" with the so-called
Russia is an expression that is beginning to be repeated more and more insistently, and which causes more and more misunderstanding, especially among those Ukrainians who are in the ice trenches around the clock in a state of this very escalation," Danilov noted.
In his opinion, the authors of this expression are obviously trying to "replace real steps with a screen of inaction and listlessness."
Not a conflict, but a war
Danilov emphasized that there is no conflict in Ukraine, but a full-fledged war, which began on February 27, 2014 after the capture of the parliament and the government of Crimea by the Russian military, continued in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions, and entered the active phase on February 24, 2022 with a full-scale invasion Russian Federation to Ukraine.
The Secretary of the National Security Council reminded that our country has been in a state of constant and continuous military escalation for 3,205 days.
What could be worse than now
"For us, there can be no greater escalation than the murder of 444 Ukrainian children, thousands of military and civilians, the loss of territory and the destruction of our peaceful life by Putin's regime," he emphasized.
Therefore, he believes that Ukraine has the right to use all available and not prohibited by international law means and methods of liberating our territory.
"All objects on the occupied territory of Ukraine, where there is at least a small fragment of the Russian tricolor rag, are our legitimate and potential targets. The goals of Ukraine will end where national interests require it, and Ukrainian strategic interests will end there and when it ends Russia will fade into historical oblivion," Danilov explained.
"Russia must disappear"
The Secretary of the National Security Council believes that the Russian Federation should disappear as a military and political entity within the limits in which it currently exists.
This is the most reliable security guarantee for Ukraine and the world, he is convinced.
"The best method of preventing the escalation of the conflict is to eliminate the cause of the escalation of the conflict, namely the complete and unconditional military defeat of the so-called Russia, followed by deputization and denuclearization," Danilov added.
Finally, he called on the West to continue supplying Kyiv with weapons, and "the Defense Forces of Ukraine will do the rest."
It should be noted that this is far from the first statement by Danilov, where he emphasizes the need for the disintegration of the Russian Federation.
Earlier he said that Russia "must cease to exist" and there is no need to sit down at the negotiating table with "these barbarians".
He also said that the Putin regime should be brought to justice for the invasion of Ukraine, and the residents of the Russian Federation should feel the same attitude towards themselves as they did towards the Germans after the Second World War.
In addition, Oleksiy Danilov said that in the spring of 2023, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will liberate occupied Luhansk, Donetsk, and Sevastopol.
