Members of the far-right organization "Reich Citizens", suspected of attempting a coup d'état in Germany, planned an attack on the Bundestag (parliament) building.

APA reports that the General Prosecutor's Office of Germany has released information about this.

"According to the current investigation, individual members of the organization were planning to take over the Bundestag in the form of small armed groups," the agency said in a statement.

It should be noted that the German federal police conducted a special operation against the far-right group "Citizens of the Reich" and detained 25 members.

The German federal police conducted a special operation against the far-right group "Reich Citizens".

APA reports with reference to "Associated Press" that 25 people who were said to be members of the suspected group were detained in 11 of the 16 states of Germany.

It was said that some members of the group rejected Germany's post-war constitution and called for a coup d'état.

"Der Spiegel" announced that the operation was carried out in the barracks of the KSK, the German special forces, located in the city of Kalv in the southwest of the country.

It was emphasized that the military unit was previously under surveillance due to the participation of some military personnel in extreme right-wing movements.
