Hyderabad:

In the capital of Telangana, the police busted a gang involved in human trafficking and arrested 18 people.

Cyberabad police gave this information on Tuesday.


According to the police, members of this gang were allegedly involved in trafficking of more than 14,000 victims for prostitution during the last several years.

The victims were brought from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Assam besides Bangladesh, Nepal, Thailand, Uzbekistan, Russia. 

Cyberabad Police Commissioner M Stephen Ravindra said the accused bought the women and issued advertisements on websites, contacted customers through call centers and WhatsApp and forced the women into prostitution.
