After several rounds of coordination between the parties, the public sector and the tribes showed goodwill to each other, and agreed to choose not to demolish the Veterans Monument under the principles of presenting historical facts and respecting different ethnic groups, but to erect another Atayal Ancestral Spirit Monument instead. The Hsinchu Forest Management Office has listened to the needs and opinions of the tribe many times, and jointly discussed the design direction. After more than three years of communication, coordination, and discussions, the setting of the Atayal Zuling Memorial Square was completed on December 31, 2020, and it was completed in April last year. On the 23rd, the "TAYAL Skaru River Basin Tribal Group and the National Forest Management Agency Sbalay Reconciliation Ceremony" was held. After signing the memorandum of cooperation, the Hsinchu Office and the Xueba Office invited the TAYAL Skaru River Basin Co-Management Promotion Team to hold several co-management research and discussion meetings. The scope of co-management and other issues were discussed, and it was decided to establish a tripartite co-management committee in accordance with the current regulations to facilitate the promotion of future co-management affairs.
