Amid continuing threats to Kashmiri journalists working in the Kashmir Valley, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has acknowledged that eight Srinagar-based media persons have received threats from terrorists, four of whom have resigned from their jobs over the threats. Have given.

Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai told the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday that eight journalists working for local newspapers based in Srinagar have been threatened through the terrorist blog Kashmir Fight.

Four media persons have also reportedly resigned.

Those who have resigned were associated with Rising Kashmir media house.

Nityanand Rai said that a case has been registered regarding this in Srinagar.

It should be mentioned that earlier Kashmiri Pandit teachers working in government institutions were threatened with dire consequences.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Home Affairs in its reply to BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi said that the government has a policy of zero tolerance towards extremism and the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir has improved significantly.

In the Rajya Sabha, the Ministry of Home Affairs also confirmed that 14 people from minority communities, including three Kashmiri Pandits, have been killed in Jammu and Kashmir from January to November this year.
