New Delhi:

The results of the Delhi Municipal Corporation elections were declared on Wednesday.

The Aam Aadmi Party demolished the BJP's fort of the last 15 years on the MCD.

AAP won 134 seats, while BJP, which came second, won 104 seats.

Congress got only 9 seats.

After the results are out, allegations and counter-allegations have started regarding the election of mayor in Delhi.

The Aam Aadmi Party has accused the BJP of trying to buy their councillors.

Delhi's Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia tweeted, "BJP's game has started. Our newly elected councilors have started getting calls. None of our councilors will be sold. We have told all the councilors that their phone should come or they should come to meet." Then record them.

BJP's game has started.

Phone calls started coming to our newly elected corporators.

None of our councilors will be sold.

We have told all the corporators that if they get a phone call or come to meet them, record them.

Here the Bharatiya Janata Party has indicated that the election of the mayor is still pending and despite its opponents having the maximum number of seats in Chandigarh, the mayor belongs to the BJP.

BJP's IT department head Amit Malviya tweeted, "Now it is the turn of the mayor of Delhi.

It will depend on who can muster the numbers in a close contest, how the nominated councilors vote, etc.

For example, Chandigarh has a BJP mayor."

AAP became the single largest party by winning 14 seats in the 35 wards of the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation, but did not get the majority.

At the same time, BJP's Delhi unit spokesperson Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga has also claimed that his party will once again become the mayor of the city.
