The BBC published a list of 100 women from different countries who inspired and influenced the world in 2022.

Among these women were eight Ukrainian women.  

This is stated in the BBC publication.

So, the first lady of Ukraine

Olena Zelenska

, paramedic Yuliya Paevska (Tyra), human rights defender Oleksandra Matviychuk, defender of the rights of people with disabilities Yuliya Sachuk, mathematician Maryna Vyazovska, doctor Iryna Kondratova, journalist Kristina Berdynskikh and volunteer Yana Zinkevich were among the hundred most influential.

The world music phenomenon Billie Eilish

, actresses Priyanka Chopra and Selma Blair, Iranian mountaineer Elnaz Rekabi, Iranian actress and director Zar Amir-Ebrahimi, triple jump record holder Yulimar Rojas, Ghanaian writer Nana Darkoa Sekyamah

were also included in the list of "100 Women 2022" .

, Syrian runner Dima Aktaa, who lost her leg when a bomb hit her home.

As for politics, the list includes the first female president of the European Commission,

Ursula von der Leyen

 , and the first female Prime Minister of Barbados, Mia Mottley.

It is noted that the list reflects the role of women in conflicts around the world in 2022.

The list was divided into the categories "Politics and Education", "Culture and Sports", "Activism and Protection of Rights" and "Health and Science".

We will remind that the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky became the person of 2022 according to the version of the British newspaper Financial Times.

The newspaper praised the politician for his "extraordinary display of leadership and fortitude."
