[Reporter Chen Zhengyu/Taipei Report] The memorial ceremony for former CCP leader Jiang Zemin was held today (6th). Chinese President Xi Jinping declared that all Chinese people, including Taiwan, "deeply cherish Comrade Jiang Zemin."

Lin Junxian, a legislator of the Democratic Progressive Party, criticized, where are the Taiwanese remembering?

Do you dream of the Chinese dream?

It is both ridiculous and pitiful to "eat tofu" even for such a thing.

Jiang Zemin's memorial meeting was held today in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Xi Jinping led the whole party to bow three times to Jiang Zemin's portrait and played the "Internationale" in mourning.

In his speech, Xi Jinping declared that the entire Chinese people, including Taiwan, "deeply cherish the great achievements and noble demeanor of Comrade Jiang Zemin."

In this regard, Lin Junxian posted on Facebook that China has been in a period of "national mourning" in the past week. Jiang Zemin's death has suddenly turned many Chinese websites and apps into black and white. Even today, many online games are still out of service, but of course Taiwan I don't feel it at all here. I don't know if Xi Jinping's so-called Taiwanese remembering Jiang Zemin is because he dreamed of the "Chinese Dream".

Lin Junxian said that Jiang Zemin's term of office was 30 to 20 years ago. If there is any memory of the former CCP leader in Taiwan, it is probably the 1996 Taiwan Strait crisis.

After this crisis, Taiwanese people have clearly realized that the other side is our biggest threat. How would they like those who threaten them with missiles?

Not to mention remembrance?

Lin Junxian emphasized that Chinese people should cherish the memory of their leaders. This is the affairs of other countries and we respect it, but it is ridiculous and pitiful to eat tofu even for such things.

Lin Junxian sarcastically said that what is certain is that Taiwanese people are at best noncommittal about Jiang Zemin's passing. No way to witness it in person.
