The winter session of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly was adjourned indefinitely for the second day on Tuesday.

The session started on Monday.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna proposed to adjourn the house indefinitely.

After the consent of the members, Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana announced to postpone it indefinitely.

Although the House was proposed from Monday to Wednesday, it was adjourned a day earlier.

Vidhan Sabha Principal Secretary Pradeep Kumar Dubey had notified in a letter sent to all the Vidhan Sabha members last days that the session of UP Vidhansabha is proposed from December 5 to December 7 and the state government has made its first announcement for 2022-2023 in the winter session. It is proposed to present a supplementary budget.

On Monday, on the first day of the winter session of the Legislature, the UP government presented the supplementary budget for the year 2022-23 in the assembly.

There is a provision of grant demands of about Rs 3376954.67 lakh in the budget, in which budget has also been arranged for the Global Investors Summit and Prayagraj Mahakumbh to be held in February.

After discussion on Tuesday, the supplementary budget was passed by voice vote.
