During the winter session of the Parliament, the efforts of the government will be to get more than a dozen bills passed and supplementary demands for grants passed.

However, the opposition parties have made preparations to surround the government on issues like inflation, unemployment, farmers' problems, restoration of old pension scheme, alleged misuse of investigative agencies, situation on the border with China, Centre-State relations.

The results of the Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat assembly elections will also come out on December 8, the second day of the session starting from Wednesday.

In such a situation, the shadow of the election results of these two states will also be seen on the winter session.

Among the many issues to be raised by the opposition parties in the winter session, the main issue is the border situation with China in eastern Ladakh and the alleged misuse of investigative agencies and a situation of confrontation may arise in the House on these issues.

Rahul Gandhi and many Congress leaders are involved in the 'Bharat Jodo' tour, so there is no possibility of their participation in the session.

Before the Parliament session, the government called an all-party meeting on Monday in which leaders of the House of 31 parties including Congress, Trinamool Congress, DMK, BJD, AAP participated.

Union Minister Piyush Goyal and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi were also present in the meeting.

Presiding over the all-party meeting, Defense Minister and Deputy Leader of the Lok Sabha, Rajnath Singh sought cooperation of all parties for the smooth functioning of the House.

After the meeting, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary, leader of the Congress in the Lok Sabha, made it clear that "there are only issues in the country today and the opposition wants discussion and only discussion in the House."

In such a situation, the government should create an atmosphere of work in the House by giving enough time for discussion. be referred to the Standing Committee of Parliament.

On the other hand, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi, on behalf of the government, said that the government had a detailed discussion with the leaders of the House of various parties about the topics to be raised in the session and told them at the outset that the Speaker of the Lok Sabha and the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha With the permission of the ruling party, the ruling party is ready to discuss the issues raised by them under the rules.

During the meeting, Joshi presented the details of the government's legislative work during the session and sought the opposition's cooperation in getting the bill passed.

In the meeting, Congress and Trinamool Congress leaders raised the issue of alleged misuse of investigative agencies and the Aam Aadmi Party, Nationalist Congress Party and some other parties supported it.

Congress leader Chaudhary said that what is the situation on the border with China, "we are not being informed about it properly". to be discussed.

Trinamool Congress leader Derek O'Brien said, "We also want to raise the issue of Centre-State relations along with inflation, unemployment and alleged misuse of government agencies during the session and we have put our point about this in the meeting." K's Dr. Sasmit Patra said that his party has demanded passage of the Women's Reservation Bill during the session and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has been raising this issue.

On the other hand, Congress leader Nasir Hussain demanded the appointment of the Election Commissioner and a discussion on the issue of quota for the economically weaker sections.

Aam Aadmi Party's Sanjay Singh demanded to discuss the old pension scheme and make a law to ensure the minimum support price to the farmers.

However, the government plans to introduce 16 new bills in the winter session of Parliament starting December 7, including those related to increasing accountability in multi-state cooperatives and reforming the electoral process.

The National Dental Commission Bill is also likely to be introduced in the upcoming session.

The Bill proposes to set up a National Dental Commission and repeal the Dentists Act, 1948.

Along with this, a bill related to the National Nursing Commission is also likely to be introduced, in which it is proposed to set up the National Nursing Commission (NNMC) and repeal the Indian Nursing Council Act, 1947.

According to the Lok Sabha bulletin, the Multi-State Cooperative Societies (Amendment) Bill, 2022 is being introduced with the aim of strengthening governance in cooperatives, increasing transparency and accountability, and improving the electoral process.

The Cantonment Bill, 2022 is likely to be introduced during the session.

The objectives of this bill also include a proposal to enhance the "ease of living" in the cantonments. The list of bills to be introduced during this period includes the Old Grants (Regulation) Bill, Forest (Conservation) Amendment Bill, Coastal Aquaculture Authority (CAA) Amendment) Bills etc. are also included.
