An agreement on roaming tariffs between the countries of the Western Balkans (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, the Republic of North Macedonia and Serbia) and the European Union is expected to be signed today in Tirana in the framework of the EU-Western Balkans summit. At the summit, the countries of the Western Balkans and the EU are expected to sign a declaration to strengthen cooperation in several segments, which provides better conditions and benefits for the citizens of the countries of the Western Balkans, writes the information portal "Telegrafi".

According to Gazeta Si newspaper, it will be called the "Declaration of Tirana" and through it the leaders of the European Union are committed to support and speed up the accession process of the countries of the Western Balkans.

The agreed joint declaration from the EU-Western Balkans summit calls for greater integration of the region with the EU's single market and announces a step to reduce roaming prices between EU countries and the Western Balkans in 2023, with the aim of phasing out fees at a later stage.

For the first time, a summit between the EU and the countries of the Western Balkans is being held in one of the countries of the region.
