The Sofia Court of Appeal has fully confirmed the verdict of the Sofia City Court for the accident in which the journalist Milen Tsvetkov died, "Sega" reported, referring to its sources in the prosecutor's office.

Thus, on two occasions already, Christian Nikolov was found guilty of causing death by negligence with the cruel accident of April 19, 2020, and was sentenced to 9 years in prison and 10 years without a driver's license.

However, the prosecutor's office accuses him of causing the accident in terms of possible intent, as he was driving after taking drugs and at a much higher speed limit.

(Similarly, Georgi Ljubenov was charged for the Sofia ring road accident that claimed the life of a French citizen).

The prosecution pleaded for 15 years in prison.

Now both the prosecution and Nikolov have the right to attack the decision of the appeal court before the Supreme Court of Cassation, whose word will be the last.

The killer of Milen Tsvetkov: My heart is pure.

It's all PR

The first two instances consider it proven that Nikolov used narcotic substances before sitting behind the wheel, as well as that he violated traffic rules.
