The defense forces have a strategic advantage over the Russian troops and by the New Year they can begin to liberate the occupied territories of the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions and, probably, the Crimea.

This opinion

was expressed by the reserve colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, military expert, pilot-instructor Roman Svitan  to

channel 24.

He notes that in the event of a second successful attack on the Crimean bridge, the group of Russian invaders in the Kherson region and the peninsula will actually find themselves in a "cauldron".

In addition, he believes that the Ukrainian military can now attack the logistics chain near the administrative border between the Kherson region and Crimea.

"We have a very good strategic position. So we can start liberating Zaporizhzhia, Kherson and, perhaps, Crimea before the New Year. At least,

we can approach Crimea during December

- to one of the crossings to Arabatskaya arrow, Chongar or Perekop", - Svitan believes.

In his opinion, the Armed Forces of Ukraine can further move

from Svatovoy towards Shchastya,

which will help to liberate the north of Luhansk region with further access to Luhansk.

And then, as the military expert thinks, it is necessary to move towards Russia.

Russia is constantly shelling Kherson

Almost immediately after the Ukrainian military liberated Kherson, the occupiers began shelling the city heavily.

There is not a day that Kherson is not under enemy fire.

The city's housing stock and infrastructure are affected.

Tanks, artillery, mortars are used.

There are victims and victims.

On Tuesday, December 6, the Russian military again massively shelled Kherson.

A person died as a result of the attack.

Rescuers worked at the scene.
