Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev met with the delegation of the leading international technology company "Lenovo" headed by the senior vice president of "Lenovo ISG" Wilfredo Sotolongo.

"APA-Economics" informs that during the meeting, the head of the delegation gave extensive information about the company's activities.

It was reported that "Lenovo", engaged in the production of infrastructure solutions, servers, data storage systems and other modern technological equipment, operates in more than 180 markets.

The head of the delegation noted that the company's official representative office operating in our country will be expanded and become a regional center covering the territory of Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

At the same time, proposals were made regarding the establishment of a joint research and development center in Azerbaijan.

In turn, the Minister of Digital Development and Transport, Rashad Nabiyev, informed the representatives of the Lenovo company about the work done to improve the business environment for IT companies of the government, especially the creation of a favorable environment for attracting foreign investments.

The minister emphasized that amendments and additions to the tax, migration, customs legislation and the law "On Social Insurance" have been prepared.

Thanks to these changes, IT companies engaged in system integration and software development will get many privileges while operating in Azerbaijan.

For your information, an event called "Lenovo Day Baku" was held in Baku these days with the support of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, which brought together representatives of international IT manufacturers and more than 200 representatives of the corporate sector of Azerbaijan.

The participants discussed the trends and current challenges of digital business transformation in the region.

Within the framework of the event, successfully applied technological solutions and new business models to support the digital ecosystems of enterprises in Azerbaijan were analyzed.
