"In absentia, the acting intelligence chief of the brigade, a serviceman of the 64th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces, was informed of the suspicion of the fact of brutal treatment of the civilian population, combined with intentional murder (part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)," the message reads. .
The invader committed a murder in March in the then-occupied village of Havronshchyna.
"According to the investigation, in March 2022, while in the occupied village of Havronshchyna of the Buchansky district, the suspect, together with other servicemen of the armed forces of the Russian Federation, pointed an automatic weapon at a 70-year-old unarmed civilian who was walking down the street and forbade him to move further. After that, he hit the victim in the jaw with the butt, which caused the man to fall to the ground. Later, the suspected captain fired three fatal shots at the helpless man with a machine gun," the prosecutor's office said.
