All EMPLOYERS in the country have been asked to ensure that they appoint qualified people to manage the procurement and supply sector, in order to eliminate blame in projects that are implemented below standards.

Opening the 13th Conference of Procurement and Supply Experts in Arusha, the Deputy Minister of the Office of the President, Personnel and Good Governance, Deogratius Ndejembi, said some government and private sector institutions are hiring or hiring unqualified procurement people.

He said the effect of this is to create losses in various projects, then the blame falls on the procurement officer, who was not involved in managing or is not the right person to manage the projects.

He emphasized the Board of Procurement and Supply Specialists (PSPTB), to better manage discipline in the field, so that it continues to be more respected.
