The "Middle Corridor" project overlaps significantly with China's "One Belt, One Road" initiative, which is of great importance for strengthening regional ties, promoting socio-economic development along the route, and securing global supply chains.

"Middle Corridor" has become a provider of stable and continuous operation of the China-Central Asia-Caucasus-Europe transport corridor, especially under the conditions of the new situation that has arisen in the world since this year.

In January-August of this year, the number of trains running on the China-Europe route on the "Middle Corridor" increased by 34 percent compared to last year, and new routes were opened from several Chinese cities.

According to preliminary estimates, the number of trains for 2022 will reach a new record.

We believe that cross-border transport cooperation will open a new bright page in China-Azerbaijani cooperation and will be a point of improvement," the ambassador noted.

According to him, against the background of the urgency of the revival of the world economy, China will strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the countries located along the "Middle Corridor", including Azerbaijan, in order to develop the "One Belt, One Road" and "Middle Corridor" projects together and on a high-quality foundation. hopes to promote the movement of information, capital and people due to its development, to give a new impetus to the development of countries and regions along the route: "China is ready to share its development opportunities with the Azerbaijani side and create a better future together."
