In Chhattisgarh, 4 children died at the Matri Shishu Hospital located in the Medical College of Ambikapur.

The children were admitted to the Special New Born Care Unit (SNCU).

It is being told that there was a power failure here on Sunday night.

The next morning it is learned that 4 children have lost their lives.

The relatives of the children have made serious allegations regarding the whole matter.

He says that he died due to the negligence of the hospital.

At the same time, the hospital management says that the electricity was definitely turned off for some time, but the ventilator and oxygen support were on.

The condition of the children was already critical.

In this matter, the statement of Chhattisgarh Health Minister TS Singhdev has also come to the fore.

He said that I have received information about the death of 4 children.

That's why the departmental chief officer called the health secretary and instructed to immediately constitute an investigation team and get the investigation done.

TS Singhdev said, 'I have also informed the CM about this.

After this, Minister Singhdev himself reached the hospital along with the Health Secretary.

He has assured action after investigation within 48 hours.


46 children were admitted in SNCU


According to the information of news agency ANI, there is SNCU ward in MCH of Rajmata Devendra Kumari Singhdev Medical College located at Sarguja divisional headquarters Ambikapur.

There were 46 newborns admitted at the time of the incident.

Most of these children were kept on ventilator.

During this late night there was a power failure for about two hours.

Due to this, the ventilators and other machines installed there were stopped.

Oxygen supply is also said to be affected. 


According to the report, supply was being done from the backup line, but it was also shut down to run the main line.

Due to fault, electricity did not come from the main line and the backup was also closed.

During this, 4 children died.

After this, Health Minister TS Singhdev has ordered an inquiry.
