Traffic jams, overcrowding and bus delays observed on the roads in recent months make the implementation of relevant measures even more urgent.

"APA-Economics" informs that Mais Agayev, the head of the press service of the Baku Transport Agency, said this at a press conference on special bus lanes.

According to him, the observed problems led to erasing the meaning of the difference in traffic during peak and non-peak hours, working and non-working days.

Mayis Agayev added that all this has made the issue of creating a network of special bus lanes even more urgent: "Observations conducted in recent years show that the number of people using public transport has increased (27% increase during 2016-2019). Approximately 70% of the fleet of passenger buses has been renewed."
