At the moment, the only solution to eliminating traffic jams and passenger bus delays in Baku is the creation of special lanes.

"APA-Economics" informs that Mais Agayev, the head of the press service of the Baku Transport Agency, said this at a press conference on special bus lanes.

According to him, two main public transports are currently used in Baku - bus and metro transport.

As the coverage of the metro is limited, the burden falls on the buses.

Mayis Agayev added that the way out in this situation is the creation of special bus lanes, and proposals have been made for their creation on 49 roads and avenues.

"We also appreciate the presence of trams and trolleybuses. As far as we know, this issue was included in the city's master plan. However, it is a long-term plan," added Mayis Agayev.
