Odesa and a number of settlements in the region were left without electricity, water and heat as a result of the eighth massive attack of the Russian Federation on Ukraine on December 5 and hitting energy infrastructure facilities in the Kyiv, Vinnytsia and Odesa regions.

Electricity supply

As reported by the spokesman of Odesa OVA, Serhiy Bratchuk, on December 5, Odesa and a number of communities in the region were left without electricity due to the Russian attack on an energy facility.

Energy workers worked all night to restore the power supply and are currently partially restoring it.

At the same time, the website of DTEK states that emergency power outages are currently occurring in Odesa due to Russian terrorist attacks.

Schedules of stabilization shutdowns do not work.


Due to the lack of electricity in Odesa on December 6, the city's electric transport will also not work.


As Serhiy Bratchuk informed, restoration of water supply to Odessa residents' homes is also in the process.

At the same time, as of the morning of December 6, the areas of Zastava, Slobodka, Tiraspol and Dalnytsky Shosse remain without water supply.

Transport of water by specialized vehicles will be organized here.

The schedule and locations will be additionally communicated by the municipal services of the city.

Currently, there are also pump stations in Odesa on St.

Krymska and Mechnikov.

All others are temporarily down.


All 11 district boiler houses are currently restarted, working and supplying heat to the homes of Odessa residents.

Employees of housing and communal services and management companies carry out work on airing the system.

Out of 146 small boiler houses, 12 are working. All others are still without electricity supply.

In total, Russia fired more than 70 missiles at Ukraine, more than 60 of which were shot down by Ukrainian air defense.

In Odesa, as a result of the attack, two people, employees of this facility, were injured.

Their condition is currently satisfactory.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyi announced that 

four Ukrainians died

on December 5 due to Russian missile terror .
