Surgeon Pranabashish Banerjee was notified and urgently set up a medical team to perform an operation for Ram for about 1.5 hours. Finally, the trident was successfully removed. Fortunately, the trident avoided the carotid artery and vein, trachea, Throat, esophagus, vertebrae and other important parts, so no serious injuries were caused. At present, Ram is recovering well after surgery, and the nasogastric tube is expected to be removed soon.

Banerjee revealed that when Ram first arrived at the hospital, he was asked if he would feel severe pain. Unexpectedly, he said "no pain at all". "Usually, in such an accident, the patient would die within a few minutes. However, Ram didn't feel any pain at all, and he was still able to talk to us. He looked calm before the operation."

According to Ram's family, this trident is about 150 years old and is usually placed on the altar of their home. Several generations of ancestors have worshiped this long-established trident.

The local police are not yet clear how the dispute started. Two male suspects have been arrested and the case will continue to be investigated.
