On December 8, the final stage of the Grand Prix competitions in taekwondo and parataekwondo will start in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.

According to the information provided by the Taekwondo Federation to the apasport.az website, the Azerbaijani national team will also be represented in the final competition of the year in this series.

Javad Agayev, who is 10th in the world ranking with 173.94 points, will go to Riyadh to end the year with victory.

The winner of the world and European championships, who will compete in the 68 kg weight category, will take the stage on December 9.

He will try his strength in the competition under the leadership of head coach Reza Mehmandost.

Our parataekwondo team will go to Riyadh under the leadership of head coach Farid Taghizade.

Sabir Zeynalov (58 kg, K-44), Imamaddin Khalilov (70 kg, K-44) and Abulfaz Abuzarli (80 kg, K-44), who had a successful year, will test their strength in the final stage of the Grand Prix, which will be held on December 8.

The Azerbaijani national team, which will leave for the trip today, will return to Baku on December 11.

It should be noted that 140 athletes who have achieved results in a similar competition throughout the year will compete in the final stage of the Grand Prix.

The winner of the competition will add 100 points to his rating.
