1200 people arrested during the protests were released after the order of the head of Iran's judiciary Gholamhossein Mohsini Ejeyi.

APA's Tehran office reports that this was said by the spokesman of Iran's judiciary, Masoud Setayishi.

He said that more than 200 people died during the protests.

Setayishi also said that five people were sentenced to death in the case of Basij member Ruhullah Ajimyan, who was killed during the protests.

According to him, a long-term arrest warrant was issued for 11 more people in this case.

Among those sentenced to prison are teenagers.
