The enemy continues to advance in the Lyman, Bakhmut, and Avdiiv areas.

In other directions, it is trying to hold the temporarily captured territories and restrain the advance of Ukrainian defenders.

The Russians carry out engineering equipment of defensive lines and positions and continue to conduct reconnaissance.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the evening briefing on December 6.

It is noted that during the day, the occupiers launched 4 missile strikes on Ukraine and carried out up to 10 attacks from rocket salvo systems.

Critical infrastructure and civilian homes were damaged.

In particular, the houses of residents of Stepny in the Zaporizhzhia region.

"The threat of missile attacks on the objects of the energy system and critical infrastructure throughout the territory of Ukraine remains in the future," the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine emphasizes.

On the Volyn and Poliske directions, the situation remains unchanged.

There is currently no indication that the enemy is going to advance in that direction.

However, the training of enemy units continues at the training grounds in Belarus.

In the Siversky direction, the enemy carried out mortar attacks on the settlements of Zapsilya and Myropyllya of the Sumy region.

In the Slobozhansk direction, the Russian occupiers continue to keep their troops in the border areas of the Belgorod region.

Areas of settlements of Strelech, Ternov, Staritsa, Vovchanski Khutory, Chugunivka of the Kharkiv region were shelled by tanks, mortars, and barrel artillery.

In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy is conducting defensive operations on captured lines.

The occupiers shelled the settlements of Dvorichna, Kotlyarivka, Tabaivka, Pishchane, Berestov in the Kharkiv region, as well as Novoselivske and Stelmakhivka in the Luhansk region, from tanks and the entire spectrum of artillery.

In the Lymansky direction, the enemy fired tanks, mortars, barrel and rocket artillery in the areas of the settlements of Makiivka, Ploshanka and Nevske of the Luhansk region;

Terny and Lyman of Donetsk region.

The enemy continues to advance in the Bakhmut and Avdiiv directions.

More than 20 settlements were shelled by tanks and artillery of various types, including Verkhnokamianske, Spirne, Soledar, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Klishchiivka, Bila Gora, Druzhba, Zalizne, Avdiivka, Vodyane, Pervomaiske, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Novomykhailivka Donetsk region.

The enemy is defending in the Novopavlovsk direction.

The Russians launched artillery and mortar attacks on the areas of Vugledar, Bogoyavlenka, Prechistivka and Zolota Niva settlements in the Donetsk region.

In the Zaporozhye direction, the Russians are trying to improve their tactical position.

They fired tanks, mortars and artillery at the districts of more than 10 settlements, including Vremivka, Novopil of the Donetsk region;

Dorozhnyanka, Gulyaipole, Zaliznychne, Stepove and Plavni of the Zaporizhzhia region;

In the Kherson direction, the enemy is also on the defensive, strengthening the grouping of troops.

Areas of settlements bordering the contact line, including Osokorivka, Zolota Balka, Dudchany, Bilogrudove of the Kherson region and the city of Kherson, were affected by the artillery shelling.

The Armed Forces note that the enemy is suffering losses.

Therefore, on December 4, up to 20 units of enemy military equipment of various types were destroyed in Zaporizhzhya region as a result of fire damage, and about 70 occupiers were injured.

During the day, the aviation of the Defense Forces of Ukraine carried out 14 strikes on the areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, as well as 2 strikes on the positions of the enemy's anti-aircraft missile systems.

Units of the missile troops and artillery of the Defense Forces of Ukraine hit the control post, 2 personnel concentration areas and the enemy's ammunition depot within a day.
