The number of combat sorties by Russian tactical aircraft over Ukraine has significantly decreased in recent months.

Currently, Russian aircraft are making dozens of departures per day, compared to a maximum of 300 per day in March 2022.

The Ministry of Defense of Great Britain reported this on Twitter today, December 5.

According to British intelligence, the reduction in aircraft sorties is the result of a high threat from Ukrainian air defenses, restrictions on the flight time of Russian aircraft and worsening weather.

"Since Russian ground attack tactics rely heavily on visual identification and unguided munitions, the Russian Air Force will likely continue to conduct few ground attack operations due to poor winter weather," intelligence officials said.

It will be recalled that the Ukrainian military shot down a Russian

As it became known later, one of the most experienced crews of the Russian Armed Forces was shot down.
