A postgraduate student was arrested for raping a minor girl on the pretext of marriage in Dhammour police station area of ​​Sultanpur district.

The police gave this information on Sunday. 

According to police officials, the minor victim of a village in Dhammaur police station area alleged in her complaint that a postgraduate student had been raping her for two years on the pretext of marriage. 

On the complaint of the victim, the police registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act and sections of rape and forgery and arrested the accused Zeeshan Ahmed alias Lallu, a resident of Dhammaur town. 

Dhammaur's station in-charge Shyam Sundar told that the accused was produced in the court from where he was sent to jail.
