The department said that these attacks were of a "demonstration" nature and did not lead to violations of the integrity and confidentiality of the systems.

However, it also noted that attacks are likely to increase in the coming months, and government agencies are advised to pay close attention to the security of their IT systems and assess whether they need to increase their defenses against DDoS attacks.
