The President of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan has directed 960 million shillings allocated by Ministries and Institutions for this year's Independence Celebrations, to be sent to the Office of the President TAMISEMI for the construction of dormitories in primary schools for students with special needs in this country .

Speaking to journalists today, December 5, 2022, the Minister of State, Prime Minister's Office, Policy, Parliament and Coordination, George Simbachawene said that the celebrations of the 61st anniversary of the Independence of Mainland Tanzania this year 2022 will be held through dialogues and conferences various events that will be held in all districts in the country.

"The debates and conferences will be preceded by various schedules for regional and district leaders to carry out social activities such as cleaning the areas of hospitals, schools, homes for the elderly and groups with special needs.

Therefore, this year's celebrations will not have a parade and other national activities," said Simbachawene.

Simbachawene has said that the celebration of the 61 years of Independence of Tanzania Mainland this year 2022 will be celebrated with a slogan that says:-

61 YEARS OF INDEPENDENCE: PEACE AND UNITY ARE THE PILLAR OF OUR DEVELOPMENT.

The minister added that the slogan shows the sincere intention of the Government of the Sixth Phase led by the Honorable Dr.

Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania in strengthening the economy based on the development of people by making changes in all economic and social sectors to bring grace and development
