This is called Morappam!

Morappam is usually fermented for at least 6 hours to produce that characteristic sour aroma.

The main ingredients for making this snack are urad dal, rice, chana dal and poha.

How to make Morappam - How To Make Morappam:

First of all, soak raw rice, poha and dal separately for 2-3 hours.

Grind till smooth, then keep at least 3-4 hours to marinate.

Mix it in curd and keep it aside for 10 minutes.

Temper, then add it to the batter.

If using onions, add them now and mix well.

Preheat a paniyaram pan and grease it well.

Pour the batter into the bulge until it is 3/4 full.

Cook on low-medium flame for 2 minutes, then flip gently and cook till it turns golden brown from all the sides.
