An agreement on a two-year transition period was signed between Sudan's military authorities and the country's largest opposition coalition, Freedom and Change.

APA reports that "Al-Hadas" channel, which broadcast live the ceremony of signing the agreement, reported on this.

It was noted that the agreement to prevent the political crisis in the country was signed today in the capital city of Khartoum, and according to the agreement reached, a prime minister should be appointed in Sudan soon.

According to the terms of the agreement, the prime minister must be chosen from among the representatives of the civil organizations that signed the agreement document, and a two-year transition period will be applied from the moment of the election of the head of government, which will have to end with a national election.

It was added that the candidate for the post of the country's president will be chosen from among civilians and will be the commander-in-chief of the country's armed forces.
