Criminal repression is an important tool, but it can never be enough.

This was stated by the Acting Minister of Justice Krum Zarkov

Krum Zarkov was born on November 21, 1982. He graduated from the 9th French Language School "Alphonse de during the International Conference on the topic "STOP HATE SPEECH".

He welcomed the forum and the opportunity to take part in it.

"We continue with the consistent efforts of the Ministry of Justice and the Bulgarian state to counter hate speech and the crimes incited by it. The Criminal Code of the Republic of Bulgaria recognizes the crime of hate speech. Moreover, the incitements: racist, xenophobic, discriminatory, act as an aggravating circumstance in a number of crimes," he added.

According to him, criminal repression is an important tool, but it can never be enough.

"Recently, reading what is written on the web, I am reminded of a famous sentence by Paul Valery: "War means people who are complete strangers to each other kill each other for the glory and good of other people who know each other very well, but not killing each other," added the caretaker minister.
