Covert mobilization continues in Belarus: men began to receive demands to appear at military commissariats, but the Ministry of Defense is allegedly appeasing them, saying that summonses are being distributed to record data.

In an exclusive interview with TSN.ua, politician and diplomat, Ambassador of Ukraine to Belarus in 2010-2011, Roman Bezsmertny talked about the nature of mobilization in Belarus.

According to him, this mobilization campaign is rather specific

.

"Mobilization has been ongoing in Belarus since December, but it is not of a mass nature. These are, of a kind, zonal, regional, or point summonses that are sent out, conscripts there are still in the status of Soviet times. Belarus at a certain stage failed in the accounting those persons, because the summonses are received by people who have long passed the age of those who can be considered conscripts. The summonses come even to the dead, the dead. Now this campaign of mobilization continues. It has never been stopped. It has the character of a reflection on something. Some momentum is going, but it meets with sabotage," the diplomat said.

According to the expert, in February-April 2022, Belarusian officers resigned because they opposed this mobilization.

Earlier, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine explained the visit of the head of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation Serhiy Shoigu to Minsk.

At the same time, according to the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, there are currently no signs of the creation of a powerful enemy strike group on the territory of Belarus.
