Enterprises of the State Forestry Agency of Ukraine created a record stock of firewood.

Thus, as of December 1, more than 260,000 cubic meters of firewood are stored in warehouses throughout Ukraine.

This was told by the head of the State Forestry Agency Yuriy Bolokhovets.

"According to the results of last week, harvesting is also at record levels and significantly exceeds sales. In total, harvesting of 314,000 m3 of firewood is planned for December," Bolokhovets said. 

According to him, firewood is being supplied to the eastern and southern frontline areas.

Also, a large amount of fuel is transferred to the Ukrainian military.

"The situation in the Ukrainian energy sector is very tense. The worst scenarios cannot be ruled out. But the country is provided with firewood. This year, foresters made maximum efforts to keep Ukrainians warm," assured the head of the State Forestry Agency.

It will be recalled that the government has banned the export of firewood due to the demand for it within the country itself.

Back in the summer, there was a stir in the firewood market in Ukraine.

At the same time, this record hype for firewood has become a new field for fraud.
