An explosion occurred on the 17th floor

of a 22-story building

on Maryna Tsvetaeva Street in Kyiv .

A small gas cylinder exploded in the kitchen

and blew up the apartment

.

This was reported in the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kyiv.

As a result of the explosion

, the adjacent wall of the room, the balcony, the window frame with the bedroom window, the bathroom lining and furniture were destroyed, and the wall of the neighboring apartment was partially destroyed

.

The debris also

damaged three cars parked near the building

and

air conditioners

on the 5th, 10th, 13th and 14th floors. 

The 38-year-old

tenant received minor burns to his upper limbs, head and neck

.

He was

hospitalized

in a burn center.

The explosion occurred as a

result of non-compliance with the rules for the operation of

gas cylinders.

The circumstances of the event are established by law enforcement agencies.

It will be recalled that a 9-year-old boy was poisoned by carbon monoxide

in Fastov, Kyiv region

The incident occurred due to a malfunction of the boiler.

The boy was hospitalized.
