Jhalawar (Rajasthan):

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Sunday said the Bharat Jodo Yatra is teaching him things that cannot be learned "while traveling in an aeroplane, helicopter or any vehicle".

The padyatra led by Gandhi reached Rajasthan from Madhya Pradesh where party workers warmly welcomed them.

Rahul said, "A lot is being learned from the journey... These things are not understood in the car, airplane, helicopter... It is visible from a distance from the helicopter... From the torn hands of the farmers." After shaking hands, it is understood what the farmer is doing.

Gandhi and his fellow travelers were welcomed in traditional Rajasthani style upon entering the state at Chawli Chauraha, about 40 km from Jhalawar city.

To welcome Gandhi and the yatris, cultural artists gave several performances, including the famous Rajasthani song 'Padharo Mhare Desh'.

Gandhi, Gehlot, Pilot and state Congress chief Govind Singh Dotasara danced together holding hands on the stage.

Addressing the gathering, Gandhi said he had no hatred towards the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), but he would not allow them to "spread hatred in the country".

He said, "Seeing the laborers' children shivering in the morning, it is understood... what is happening in India... These things are not visible from aeroplanes, helicopters, vehicles."

Gandhi, who entered Rajasthan from Madhya Pradesh, said that he is getting to learn a lot during the journey.

He said, “These things cannot be understood while traveling in an aeroplane, helicopter or vehicle.

Only after shaking hands with the farmers, it is understood what the farmers are doing.

It is not visible from the helicopter."
