Five magistrates are running for Eurojust, the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) reports.

Elka Vaklinova - prosecutor in the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office, Dimitar Halachev - investigator in the Metropolitan Investigation Service, Ivaylo Iliev - prosecutor in the District Prosecutor's Office in Kyustendil and European delegated prosecutor, Angelina Lazarova - judge in the Court of Appeal - Varna, and Biserka Stoyanova - head of the specialized department in the National Investigation Service.

Dimitar Halachev and Ivaylo Iliev have also submitted applications for assistant to the national member.

Svetoslava Pencheva - a prosecutor at the District Prosecutor's Office in Plovdiv, also applied for the same position.

The admission of the candidates to the next stage of the procedure is pending.
