The Central Government has filed an application in the Supreme Court (SC) on the dispute of rights in Delhi.

New Delhi:

The Central Government filed an application in the Supreme Court (SC) on the dispute of rights between the Delhi Government and the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi.

The central government said in the application that the matter should be sent to a larger bench than the constitution bench of five judges.

The Delhi government opposed the application.

At the same time, Chief Justice (CJI) DY Chandrachud said that the Constitution Bench of the Supreme Court will not be able to hear on December 8, because Justice Krishna Murari, who is included in the bench, is ill.

In this case, the second date of hearing will be issued.

In fact, on Thursday, on behalf of the Central Government, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta mentioned the matter before the CJI and said that he has filed an application in the Constitution Bench.

It has said that the matter should be sent to a larger bench.

At the same time, Abhishek Manu Singhvi, appearing on behalf of the Delhi government, opposed it.

Abhishek Manu Singhvi said that this is a tactic to delay.

This should not be allowed.

The CJI said that this issue can be raised when a five-judge constitution bench hears it.

In fact, on November 11, CJI DY Chandrachud had said that the constitution bench would decide the constitutional issue related to the disputes arising out of the services between Delhi and the Centre.
