Russian dictator Vladimir Putin is cut off from the world and has a poor idea of the surrounding reality.

Otherwise, he would not have dared a full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Russian opposition journalist and sociologist Ihor Yakovenko stated this, the FREEDOM TV channel informs.

"...Putin has a very bad idea of the surrounding reality. Well, at least based on the fact that he carried out this attack on Ukraine. He absolutely did not understand what he was doing, what Ukraine is. He absolutely does not understand what Europe is, what is the United States of America," says the journalist.

According to Yakovenko, the dictator is in a world that has nothing to do with reality.

However, this is not Putin's only miscalculation.

Yakovenko believes that the president of the Russian Federation tried to project a scenario of an alternative development of the invasion of the Russian Federation, where Europe and the USA distanced themselves and did not provide assistance.

However, the journalist is certain: even if Ukraine had not received support from the West, it would still have resisted and a guerrilla war would have started.

"...Under any circumstances, Putin would not have succeeded in conquering Ukraine, it would have been a long partisan war. And in any case, there would have been support for Ukraine. That is, I cannot imagine that everyone would agree with what is in the center Europe, a large European country was invaded. No, I think it was the same, the only difference is that they would have supported the guerrilla war in Ukraine," said the sociologist.

Yakovenko notes that in case of victory, Russia will not stop and will continue its aggression against other countries.

This is also understood in the West.

"The understanding that Putin will not stop at Ukraine, it is quite today of a total character.

Everyone understands that if Ukraine does not resist, then Putin will move on to other countries.

That is, I think that this understanding is not altruism, not that the West is helping Ukraine simply out of philanthropy.

I think that most Western countries understand very well that Ukraine is now protecting them in particular," the expert concluded.

Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron said that Putin made a mistake in assessing his capabilities by starting a war in Ukraine.

US President Joe Biden said that he is ready for negotiations with Putin if he ends the war in Ukraine.

Meanwhile, the British media write that Putin has oncology, schizoaffective disorder, and Parkinson's disease.
