The DPP city councilors Qiu Lili and Lin Zhizhan completed the registration at the party group at 9:00 this morning to run for the speaker and deputy speaker .

City Councilor Qiu Lili successfully completed her seventh re-election this time. She used to be the chairman of the Tainan City Party Committee of the DPP, the spokesperson of the DPP Central Committee, and the spokesperson of Huang Weizhe's election for mayor. This time she made a comeback and won the Democratic Progressive Party's nomination to run for speaker.

Lin Zhizhan, a city councilor who registered to run for the deputy speaker, is from the Nanke Constituency. He was elected as the new party chief of the Democratic Progressive Party Group last week.

He ran for the first time in the election and was elected as a member without party membership. Later, he joined the Democratic Progressive Party to run for re-election. This time, he formed the "Taiwan Trust, Nice (Lai's homonym) Connection" with other Lai faction candidates and was successfully re-elected for the third time. It is classified as a member of the Lai Qingde system.

In addition to Qiu Lili and Lin Zhizhan who registered to run for the speaker and deputy speaker today, DPP city councilor Guo Qinghua registered to run for the speaker last week.

The Democratic Progressive Party Group of Tainan City Council held a party group meeting on November 30. For the election of the chairman and deputy speaker, it was decided to accept the registration of the chairman and deputy speaker from now on until 12 noon on December 5. If there are more than two groups of registered candidates, It will enter the coordination stage. If the coordination cannot be completed, a vote on the candidates for the chairman and deputy speaker will be held on December 7.
