The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, warned that there could be a new trade war between the European Union and the United States.

According to the news reported by APA with reference to TASS, the reason for this is the law on reducing inflation adopted by the United States.

Ursula von der Leyen said that the European Union will respond to this law in an adequate and balanced way: "The start of a new trade war is not in the interests of either the United States or Europe.

This US law could lead to unfair competition, foreclosure of markets and disruption of critical logistics chains.

In particular, this law could delay US investment and supply of rare minerals that are critical to the development of alternative energy in Europe.

Therefore, we call on the United States to take Europe's concerns into account and for closer coordination."

The head of the European Commission believes that European Union countries should create a fund to subsidize the economy and significantly simplify very strict European norms for governments to support companies.
